Hiring a Personal Assistant as Full Time Employee

Some personal assistants are hired on as full time employees, much like a maid or a nanny would be. A lot of the time though, they are hired on a part time basis and only show up to help out with the busy times of the day or the week. There are also agencies today that hire out PAs for short term jobs, or even for just one day.

Shopping:

A personal assistant can be great for things like shopping. Sure, there are a lot of things you buy that require your own personal touch, but most of the things you run off to the store for are quite mundane. Those little shopping errands still take up a lot of time though, but it doesn’t have to be your time. Send your assistant out to pick up household supplies, groceries, or even gifts—gifts that you’ve already picked out or ones that you can entrust to someone else to choose.

Mechanic:

Your car will have to go to the mechanic now and then if you like it or not. Unfortunately the mechanic won’t likely be willing to pick up and drop off your car for you. A lot of the time things as simple as oil changes can result in you wasted an hour or two taking your car in and then waiting for the work to be done. This is something else you’re assistant can be great for doing. They’ll take it in and make sure the job is done right as well.
