Is there unemployment benefits if you resign
Jobs are few and far between these days and I dont know why anyone would quit their job, but they do. Even if your unhappy thats not a good enough reason to resign, or thats the way I see it anyway. I can see resigning if you have another job waiting for you because if you dont work, then how will you pay the bills? You cant even get unemployment benefits if you resign. The only way to get the unemployment is if you got fired, for some reason. Why should you get benefits if you decide to quit your job? I was asked the other day if there was unemployment benefits for military spouses, and the same applies to them. They are not in the military. Their spouse is, so they have to work, if they want to, just like everyone else. Unemployment benefits are figured to where you just get a portion of the pay you were getting while working. The benefits only last for a certain length of time and unemployment wants to make sure you are looking for a new job, or they wont continue the benefits. The only difference to the rules is, if you had to quit your job due to health reasons. Unemployment benefits for military spouses is the same as anyone else that has a job. A military spouse has a hard time staying at one job over three of four years, because their spouse will get reassigned somewhere else. I can understand their resigning from a job. If you find another job that pays more and has better benefits, then resign from your current job, but dont expect unemployment benefits if you resign.
