Tutoring
tutoring may be conducted before or after school, on school grounds, at a time determined appropriate by the team. Online tutoring has become a very helpful and popular tool for college and school students to home their skills. Tutoring is available to Delta College students for the Delta classes in which they are enrolled for the current semester. Students can get further information about tutoring in their subject classes. Students will receive tutoring twice a week for one hour in each subject. Online tutoring is a process in which certain companies provide tutoring to students online, usually for a fee. Peer tutoring can provide students with additional opportunities for success. Students were taught to act as tutors prior to implementation of the peer-tutoring procedure. Students are individually matched with tutors and tutoring takes place during lunch periods. Tutoring is not recommended as an option for students who need to repeat lower level coursework. Tutoring can adapt instruction to the learner’s pace, learning style, and level of understanding. tutoring is not a replacement for instruction. Tutoring is not a replacement for appropriate course selection. Tutoring services will allow only one reassignment per course unless extenuating circumstances exist. tutoring services are available not just in grade school and high school. School has reached the pinnacle. Students can find top tutors for Maths, Statistics, Science and English for school and college levels. Students can search the list for specific subject, location, and grade level to get a custom list of tutors. Students are first given exam to see which level they would fall into in the subject of choice. Students will be given an age appropriate pre/post test to determine the student’s academic proficiency. Students can enter text, graphical gestures, etc. anywhere on the canvas. Students will improve in reading, math, self-confidence and self-esteem.
